What a fantastic book. From beginning to end, it was full of mystery, suspense, drama, and heartache. I loved seeing Mia as the bad girl with a good heart. Her story is just so sad, but it explains her need for information.

Klein is just a big puppy, and I love that he is the Cinnamon roll guy who learns to let loose. He wears his emotions on his sleeve but has the biggest heart. The way they work together to unravel the missing girl and help others is admirable. They really do work well together, and I love that the Redleg family supports them both.

Love the Redleg Security Series! Shep & Kri  are great partners in work & play. From book one where we met Shep with Leo & Sue, I knew he would have a funny but tragic story. Kri's standoffishness (is that a word) from the beginning indicated she was tough & had to prove herself to get to where she was.

I love the flash backs showed just how they developed their relationship and how hard it was for both of them to fight the pull toward each other. I love that both found their family with each other & Valerie. The three of them formed a perfect family that all three needed.

Classic case of right person wrong time. It's a great story about building a great friendship. The way Brody takes care of Miles and Cara is swoon worthy.

Loved that the story was over time and that even though it was kind of instant love on both their parts, they waited. The fact that Brody was able to help get Miles the help he needed and be there during all the crazy family chaos was amazing.

Absolutely LOVED this book. The humor that Sawyer has and Sammy's internal monsters were hilarious. Their sense of humor and friendship is, I feel, the strength of their relationship. The banter is  🤌.

Growing up in foster care, Sawyer turned used his humor to survive. Not wanting to lose his found family, the Mason's, Sawyer puts his feelings for Sammy away until she returns from the dead.

After escaping her ex-husband and returning from the dead, Samantha (Sammy) turns to her family & therapy to help heal. After two years, she is feeling stronger than ever until someone tries to kidnap her.

As Sawyer and Sammy give in to their feelings, sparks fly, and feelings intensify as danger comes ever closer.

TW: spousal and child abuse mentioned.

This was a great read. I really loved how the Autism diagnosis was represented and how even though she was diagnosed, it didn't take away from her brilliance and ability to thrive as an adult.

6 months ago, Leo was protecting Sue as a threat. As they both fell deeper for each other, Leo decides he needs to walk away so his past doesn't hurt her.

But when a threat to Sue via Leo brings him back to the one woman he loves but shouldn't have, it opens the lines of communication for Leo and Sue which brings them both the thing they both have been longing for...each other.

I loved the gentleness of Leo the Lionheart and how he understood Sue like no one other than her therapist. I loved seeing Sue develop and overcome her fears.
