Great quick read. Full of instant connection between Melissa and Derek. What was supposed to be a one week stand turned into so much more.

I wasn't expecting the twist, and I loved it. What I loved about this book was how we knew something happened, but there was no mention of what happened to Melissa for the entire time she developed feelings for Derek. It wasn't until the second half of the book that we found out what led her to this vacation.

Gia's talent and troubled past meet up with Tripp's money & desire. They both are looking for something & they help each other grow. Gia's sewing talent, along with her dancing, is a great backdrop to expand upon Tripp's troubled up bringing and desire to change. He finally found something worth the effort to change.

Scar & Hana's story I knew would be heart-wrenching, but man, I loved their story. These two both have troubled pasts that they are trying to overcome. The quiet hero Scar immediately fell for Hana, but after what she went through as a child & his past being mixed with these mafia type people, he tried his hardest to stay away. But her light just shined through all his darkness.

Loved the artistic/photography talent for Hana. I could see how it helped her heal & also bring out the best in others. I also really enjoyed Hana & Pepper's friendship & ultimately Pepper's story. Not as much with Hugh, but I love that he took a liking to Scar.

Loved Hutch & Blake's story. Growing up with that attraction and his need to protect her even though it caused her to hate him was great. Their chemistry was off the charts, but you knew the way they fought it was going to be fantastic.

They are both strong-willed protectors who are willing to do anything for their family. Love that they are so much alike. Loved the history they shared with the town & Hugh. The way Hugh worked the narrative was great and I absolutely loved Norris!!
