Ok, I have time to say that I loved the friendship between Anthony & Zac. To be able to find a friend after all both of them had been through was amazing.

Aria is one tough mama. The way she raised & fought to protect Zac from such a young age shows true strength & character. Cole had his own baggage he had to work through about relationships. I didn't see the twist coming at the end. Another great story by Nyssa.

TW: Domestic Violence

Great quick read. Full of instant connection between Melissa and Derek. What was supposed to be a one week stand turned into so much more.

I wasn't expecting the twist, and I loved it. What I loved about this book was how we knew something happened, but there was no mention of what happened to Melissa for the entire time she developed feelings for Derek. It wasn't until the second half of the book that we found out what led her to this vacation.

Absolutely LOVED this book. The humor that Sawyer has and Sammy's internal monsters were hilarious. Their sense of humor and friendship is, I feel, the strength of their relationship. The banter is  🤌.

Growing up in foster care, Sawyer turned used his humor to survive. Not wanting to lose his found family, the Mason's, Sawyer puts his feelings for Sammy away until she returns from the dead.

After escaping her ex-husband and returning from the dead, Samantha (Sammy) turns to her family & therapy to help heal. After two years, she is feeling stronger than ever until someone tries to kidnap her.

As Sawyer and Sammy give in to their feelings, sparks fly, and feelings intensify as danger comes ever closer.

TW: DV, Child neglect

Man, I was not prepared mentally for this book. I was absolutely well written, and I read it all in 2 days. I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what happened. I am still reeling from it, and my eyes are swollen from all my tears.

This is an intense look into what DV can do to not only the couple but those around them. What I thought was educational was to watch the stages of awareness in the victim of DV. Loved the MMA side and the self-defense aspect as well.
