Such a great story about trying to find your place in the world. Not everyone knows exactly what they what to do when they grow up and Cass is a prime example of what to do to find your passion. She has tried just about everything and is good at all of it.

I love that Cass & Alex had a back story to lead up to their present day romance. It really brought home the "good things come to those who wait" saying. Alex is so cool & collected it was fun seeing him lose his control with Cass. Also loved finding out about Pinky's mom & just how similar Pinky & Cass's stories are.

Layla & Leif are such a great couple. They both help balance each other. The connection between them was electric. I love that Layla helped Leif see he really wasn't happy with the life that he had been living. 

Layla is such a strong and independent woman. She is such a great example to her sister. Taking care of her sister & grandparents without thinking of herself is so selfless. She worked so hard to manage everything that it was so sweet to see her finally go after something for herself. But the best part was seeing Leif fight for Layla not just in words but in actions.

Absolutely loved Liv & Fletcher's story. From the moment she learns he is back in town at her annual exam I knew I would love the comedy & banter. I not only laughed out loud throughout the book but the story also had me crying, swooning & fanning myself.

The love and care that Liv showed to Maya and how she made it her goal to bring her out of her angry shell and not just babysit but love life with her was heartwarming. Fletch was hurting and just as lost as Maya but being back in his hometown allowed him to remember who he was and who he wanted to be.

I fell in love with Liam's girls in book 2, and I am so glad that they got a book. They remind me of the girls from Despicable Me, and I am here for it. Their story is sad, but the love that Liam & Haley have for them help heal their hearts. Liam is struggling with his gym but refuses Colson or Haley's help.

Haley proves that being young doesn't always mean you don't know what you're doing or you haven't had hard times. Haley's childhood was not all rainbows & unicorns like most people assume of rich kids. I love that she never retaliated when her age or wealth was thrown into the ring, but she just proves everyone wrong.

I really enjoyed reading their love story. Those scenes in the gym, whew, were amazing. Ashley did not disappoint in the story or the spice!!

Oh, I did not want this to end. Professional Funeral Mourner and a retired professional football player turned coach is a match made in heaven. 

Lark was just a ray of sunshine while Wyatt was the a stressed-out single dad just trying to keep from drowning. Larks easy care free nature balanced Wyatts grumpy controlled freak nature. The banter was hilarious, and I have to say the side characters just make this story and town come to life. 

From the 3 college athletes that were under their care to all the King's & Sullivan's not to mention Eggburt & Cheeto!! Penny was fun and carefree, which worked well with Lark. I can not wait for the rest of the Sullivan's to have their stories told.

This trio of holiday novellas really hit the spot with me. I did do individual reviews on Goodreads and Amazon, but decided to review here as the series since the stories are all written during the same time period but from the different points of view. (Genius IMHO)

📗Book One - Maddox & Nat

Single Dad, Nanny, Billionarie trope combo.

 

Love that they went to high school together, and they got a second chance when he decided to move home. It was a heart-wrenching story for his daughter and her relationship with her mom, but I loved how Nat could relate with her and was able to be a guide for her.

📕Book Two - Heath and Stella

Forbidden romance, work place romance, brother's best friend trope combo.

You could tell from book one that Heath was the lively and fun brother. And we first catch a glimpse of them together in book one when Nat walks in on them. 

It's the classic, I can't date you cuz you're my best friends sister, but secretly, they have been pining for each other. Finally giving in, they try and hide it, but then feelings get hurt. It's really well written.

📘Book Three - Tobias and Eva

Second Chance & Accidental pregnancy tropes.

College boyfriend/girlfriend ends badly with a refused proposal. Years later, they meet up and hook up for closure only to find out 6 weeks later (Christmas Eve) that she is pregnant. 

A lot of emotions in this one from both sides, but it was well written, and I loved how it ended.
