Great story. Loved the dual POV and that thr flash backs told the story about how they ended up where they were. The way that their friendship started was so enduring. Plus add in all the stories he would tell, it just melted my heart.
That twist at the end I did not see coming. Ok parts of it I did see like the letters but not the reason. I also loved the key and everything it symbolized for them both. Can't wait for book 2!!
